India’s left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh became the highest wicket-taker for the Men in Blue in a single edition of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah became the second-highest wicket-taker for India in a single edition of the T20 World Cup after an impressive performance against England in the 2024 semi-final. Bumrah reached this milestone by taking two wickets against Jos Buttler’s team, bringing his total to 13 wickets in the ongoing tournament.
Arshdeep Singh, with 15 wickets, is currently the highest wicket-taker for India in a single T20 World Cup edition. However, he didn’t take any wickets in his two-over spell against England on Thursday. Former India cricketer RP Singh holds the third place on the chart with 12 wickets in the 2007 T20 World Cup.
In the semi-final against England, Jos Buttler’s team won the toss and chose to bowl. Subsequently, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav led India to a total of 171/7, with Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja providing additional support.
Chris Jordan was the standout bowler for England, taking three wickets for 37 runs in his three-over spell. During the run chase, England struggled with the pitch conditions and managed only 103 runs in 16.4 overs, with Harry Brook and Jos Buttler being the notable performers.
Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav led India’s bowling attack, each taking three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah added two more to defend the 172-run target, securing a 68-run win for India.
The T20 World Cup final is set for Saturday in Barbados, where unbeaten India will face South Africa.
