In the fast-moving world of MotoGP, the landscape can change rapidly. Just two weeks ago, Jack Miller seemed resigned to the possibility of not securing a premier-class seat for the 2025 season. However, recent developments have brought a new sense of hope for the Australian rider, with strong links emerging to a Pramac Yamaha seat.
Miller, who had expressed his frustration at Silverstone with comments like “the phone isn’t ringing,” is now in a more positive frame of mind. Speaking on Thursday, he acknowledged the recent interest:
“[There’s been] some phone calls for sure. I appreciate people reaching out… Nothing’s signed yet. We’re working on it.”
When asked by Dorna’s Jack Appleyard if he felt more optimistic about his chances for 2025, Miller admitted:
“More optimism than I had in Silverstone for sure. But we’ll just have to wait and see, try to work things out.”
Rumors suggest that Miller, with his previous experience on Pramac Ducati machinery, might join Miguel Oliveira at the team’s new factory-spec M1s next season. This potential move follows the official confirmation of Oliveira’s departure from Trackhouse Aprilia, with Ai Ogura replacing him.
Miller’s situation underscores the unpredictability of MotoGP, where negotiations and opportunities can evolve swiftly. While no deal is finalized yet, Miller’s recent updates suggest that his future in the sport may be more secure than it appeared just weeks ago.
