During the final MotoGP pre-season test in Qatar, showcased significant improvements with the Ducati GP23, marking a notable break through from his previous performance in Sepang, where he finished 17th.
Bezzecchi expressed satisfaction with his progress at the Lusail circuit, noting that he was able to enhance his bike’s braking capabilities, allowing him to feel much more comfortable and enjoy riding. Despite ranking tenth overall in single lap pace, Bezzecchi demonstrated strong consistency during longer sprint simulations, placing in the top five.

Reflecting on his performance, Bezzecchi remarked, “Compared to Malaysia, I’m really, really happy. We’ve made a big step forward.” He highlighted improvements in his bike’s braking ability, although he acknowledged challenges in the last part of braking and initial cornering due to increased grip of the GP23.
While Bezzecchi is content with his progress, he recognized the dominance of riders on the latest GP24, exemplified by reigning champion Francesco Bagnaia. He praised Bagnaia and his counterparts for their immediate competitiveness with the new bike, acknowledging them as strong contenders for the upcoming season.
Bezzecchi’s new VR46 teammate, Fabio di Giannantonio, also showed promising performance during the test, further highlighting the potential of the Ducati GP23.
