Pramac’s 2025 Ducati Confirmation Adds Intrigue to Marc Marquez’s Plans

Pramac’s announcement regarding their Ducati status for 2025 has injected further uncertainty into Marc Marquez’s future plans.

The ongoing speculation about Marquez’s potential move to the official Ducati team alongside Pecco Bagnaia has been a focal point ahead of the Italian MotoGP this weekend.

Amidst this speculation, there is an expectation that Pramac’s championship leader Jorge Martin will secure a promotion to the official team, replacing Enea Bastianini, rather than joining forces with Gresini’s Marquez.

Marquez, however, made it clear at Mugello that he is not considering Pramac Ducati as an option for the next season.

On Friday, Pramac team boss Gino Borsoi dispelled any doubts about their team’s future, affirming, “We will continue to have the official Ducatis next year.”

Although Pramac’s contract as a Ducati satellite team is set to expire, reports suggest they have a clause to extend the partnership for another two years, ensuring access to factory-spec machinery.

Despite an intriguing offer from Yamaha for Pramac to join their ranks in 2025, Pramac’s decision to stick with Ducati means fewer opportunities for riders vying for Desmosedici seats.

Pramac’s confirmation carries significant implications for the rider market, especially considering Martin’s likely departure unless promoted to the official team.

Meanwhile, Marquez’s stance on securing a factory-spec bike contrasts with Pramac’s offer, leading to speculation about his future with Ducati.

With Pramac’s assurance of possessing ’25 Ducatis next season, questions arise about Marquez’s potential departure from the manufacturer and his next destination.

Additionally, the identity of the two riders set to benefit from Pramac’s factory-spec Desmosedicis remains a topic of interest, highlighting the allure of riding the premier bike on the MotoGP grid.
