Marc Marquez Appreciates Support from Ducati Amid Building Momentum

While Marquez experienced his best weekend with Ducati in terms of performance, potentially bolstering his chances of joining the factory Ducati team in 2025, he remains cautious about focusing on the championship too early.

“I don’t want to dismiss the championship, but it’s premature to think about it,” Marquez stated. “There will be circuits where I’ll struggle, and we still need to understand the balance of the bike. However, I feel supported by Gresini and Ducati, which is immensely beneficial for me.”

Despite encountering crashes at COTA and Jerez due to unusual circumstances, Marquez is steadily closing in on his first win with Ducati, thanks in part to his natural speed and adaptability to the bike’s strengths.

Marquez emphasized the completeness of the Ducati bike across various circuits, highlighting its potential when utilized effectively. He expressed confidence in his ability to extract performance without pushing the bike beyond its limits.

During the race, Marquez engaged in a gripping battle with Bagnaia but ultimately couldn’t mount a late challenge as Bagnaia set a blistering pace. Marquez denied claims of being too tentative early on, explaining his strategic approach and the challenges he faced with front tyre stress.

Despite the intense competition, Marquez remains optimistic and focused on maintaining consistency while pushing the limits of his Ducati machine.
