Fabio Quartararo, a veteran of 31 MotoGP podiums, has had limited success in front of his home French crowd, with only one podium finish during his championship-winning 2021 season. As he prepares for the upcoming French Grand Prix, Quartararo faces the challenge of securing another podium amidst a season that has been marked by mixed results.

The 25-year-old rider showcased his skill by storming from 23rd to third place at Jerez. Only to have his achievement nullified by a post-race penalty. With his best result this season being a seventh place, Quartararo currently holds twelfth position in the world championship standings, leading the pack of riders on Japanese bikes.

Following the Jerez post-race test, Yamaha introduced several new components for the M1. Which Quartararo plans to evaluate further at Le Mans before a crucial private test at Mugello next week.

While Quartararo acknowledges the significance of the Mugello test, he emphasizes the special nature of the French Grand Prix. Where he relishes the opportunity to compete in front of passionate home fans.
