The Circuit of the Americas (COTA) MotoGP weekend posed significant challenges for Red Bull KTM riders Brad Binder and Jack Miller, contrasting with Pedro Acosta’s success on the sister GASGAS machine.
Binder, who entered the weekend second in the championship standings, faced setbacks with a 17th place in qualifying and a foot fracture from a motocross training incident. Despite a strong start in the grand prix, his race was marred by wing damage at Turn 1, leaving him in 15th place. Battling with handling issues caused by the damaged wing, Binder managed to salvage a ninth-place finish.
Reflecting on the race, Binder described it as challenging due to the wing damage affecting the bike’s stability and handling. Despite the difficulties, he found a rhythm and managed to improve his pace throughout the race, ultimately labeling it as a difficult weekend to forget.

Miller, starting from eleventh, secured seventh place in the Sprint race and capitalized on early opportunities to claim third in the grand prix. However, he encountered rear grip issues from lap 7 onwards, hindering his performance and resulting in a 13th place finish. Miller expressed confusion over the sudden grip deterioration after a promising start to the race.
Team manager Francesco Guidotti remains optimistic, emphasizing the team’s confidence in their package and looking ahead to the next race at Jerez. Despite the challenges faced at COTA, Guidotti believes in the potential of their bike and anticipates a strong performance in the upcoming round.
