Recent UFC action has brought notable changes to the official rankings, with fighters rising and falling as they navigate their paths to contention.
In the latest updates following UFC Fight Night: Gilbert Burns vs. Sean Brady, significant shifts have occurred across multiple weight divisions.
Men’s Pound-for-Pound: For the first time in years, the rankings have removed Israel Adesanya from the pound-for-pound list.
Women’s Pound-for-Pound: Natália Silva’s victory over Jéssica Andrade on Saturday has propelled her into the women’s pound-for-pound rankings at #14. This development has resulted in Ketlen Vieira dropping out of the rankings. Andrade has slipped to #13, which has caused a-minor reshuffle, boosting Kayla Harrison to #11 and Virna Jandiroba to #12.
Women’s Strawweight: There are no changes in the women’s strawweight division.
Women’s Flyweight: Silva’s new ranking places her just outside the top five at 125 pounds, taking Andrade’s former spot. Consequently, Andrade has fallen to #8.
Women’s Bantamweight: With Pannie Kianzad’s departure from the UFC, she has been removed from the bantamweight rankings. Ailín Pérez has taken the vacant #15 spot, and Norma Dumont has moved up to #8, surpassing fellow countrywoman Karol Rosa, who is now #9.
Flyweight: Matt Schnell, despite retiring this past weekend, remains ranked for the time being. Following his loss to Cody Durden, Schnell has dropped three places to #13, while Durden has risen two-spots to #12.
Bantamweight: No changes in the bantamweight division.
Featherweight: Diego Lopes, who is set to fight Brian Ortega at Noche UFC, has surprisingly dropped one spot to #13. This is despite Lopes’ rising profile and previous ranking at #12. The position now belongs to Bryce Mitchell, who has not competed since his knockout loss to Josh Emmett last December.
Lightweight: No changes in the lightweight division.
Welterweight: Sean Brady has moved up to #6 after his main event win over Gilbert Burns, who has fallen to #8. Additionally, Kevin Holland has returned to the rankings at #15, sharing the spot with Neil Magny, although Holland is currently competing in the middleweight division.
Middleweight: No changes in the middleweight division.
Light Heavyweight: No changes in the light heavyweight division.
Heavyweight: No changes in the heavyweight division.
These rankings reflect the dynamic nature of the UFC, with each bout potentially reshaping the landscape of the sport.
