UFC, the renowned MMA organization, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), has announced its return to Abu Dhabi on Saturday, August 3, at the Etihad Arena. This event marks UFC’s second appearance in the UAE capital in less than a year.
Featuring a yet-to-be-revealed fight card, the upcoming UFC Fight Night will showcase a blend of international and local talent stepping into the Octagon for an electrifying event. This event will mark the 18th UFC event in Abu Dhabi since UFC 112: INVINCIBLE in April 2010.

Last year, UFC, in partnership with DCT Abu Dhabi, hosted UFC 294: MAKHACHEV vs VOLKANOVSKI 2, where a sold-out Etihad Arena witnessed Islam Makhachev defending his lightweight title against UFC’s featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. UAE MMA has been on a steady rise, with UFC signing its first Emirati athlete, Mohammad Yahya, who made his debut in front of a home crowd at UFC 294.
Dana White, UFC CEO, expressed his excitement about returning to Abu Dhabi, describing the city as “incredible” and emphasizing the exceptional experiences it offers fight fans. H.E. Saleh Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, highlighted Abu Dhabi’s stature as a global sports hub and its appeal to MMA enthusiasts worldwide.
VIP Experience packages, offering exclusive access to premium seating, weigh-ins, hospitality, meet-and-greets with UFC athletes, and more, will soon be available via On Location, UFC’s Official VIP Experience Provider. MMA enthusiasts can visit UFCVIP.com for further details on package offerings.
