
Israel Adesanya has commented on Sean Strickland’s recent reaction to trash talk, stating that while Strickland can dish out insults, he struggles to handle them himself. Adesanya noted Strickland’s recent altercation with Dricus du Plessis and mentioned that Strickland tends to get triggered when faced with personal remarks.
Israel Adesanya recalled his own interactions with Strickland after their fight, highlighting the irony of Strickland crying in the cage and then hugging him. Adesanya found it amusing that Strickland, who often mocks others, struggled with banter directed back at him.
Regarding Strickland’s upcoming fight with du Plessis, Adesanya predicted that du Plessis would win, especially if he incorporates wrestling into his strategy. Adesanya, who lost to Strickland in their previous encounter, acknowledged Strickland’s underrated jab but believes du Plessis can secure a victory, possibly by submission.
Adesanya also shared his thoughts on du Plessis, describing him as fake on camera but real in person. While Adesanya initially contemplated a rematch with Strickland, he decided to take time off. However, he remains open to facing the winner of the UFC 297 main event in 2024.
Adesanya predicted a win for du Plessis and suggested that the fight might not go the distance, foreseeing a possible submission victory for du Plessis.
