Hold Your Horses! UFC 303 McGregor vs. Chandler Press Conference Delayed

Fight fans anticipating a fiery exchange between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler at the UFC 303 press conference will have to wait. The UFC abruptly announced the postponement of the Dublin event scheduled for June 3rd, leaving fans in the lurch.

The official announcement offered no explanation for the last-minute delay, simply stating the postponement “until further notice” and apologizing to fans who planned to attend.

This comes as a surprise considering UFC president Dana White expressed his intention to meet McGregor in Dublin just the day before.

Here’s what we do know:

  • The press conference was slated for June 3rd at the 3Arena in Dublin.
  • The event aimed to kick off the promotion for UFC 303, headlined by McGregor vs . Chandler in a non-title welterweight bout scheduled for June 29th in Las Vegas.
  • Both McGregor and Chandler recently served as coaches on season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter.

While details remain shrouded in secrecy, the fight itself is still expected to go on as planned. McGregor, the UFC’s biggest star, will be looking to bounce back after a broken leg sidelined him since July 2021. Chandler, a former Bellator champion, will also be seeking redemption after his own recent loss.

Stay tuned for updates on the rescheduled press conference.
