Red Bull’s Max Verstappen dismissed recent comments and speculations about the team’s operations and personnel movements as “typical F1” tactics. The scrutiny intensified during the Bahrain test, with McLaren CEO Zak Brown raising questions about the collaboration between Red Bull and AlphaTauri. Verstappen, however, believes that such attempts to destabilize a team are common in Formula 1.
Describing it as a constant tactic in the sport, Verstappen stated, “That tactic is consistently employed in F1, always utilized.” That does not only apply to this story, but that is always the case and is typical for F1. That is one hundred percent typical F1.”

Verstappen emphasized that personnel movement between teams is normal and part of the competitive landscape in Formula 1. He acknowledged, “Yes, you always try to get your own advantage out of something, and you try to pull people away from other teams. That is very normal in F1. You can always find something and always make something out of it.”
Responding to speculation about Ferrari attempting to hire key figures from Red Bull, Verstappen stated, “It happens all the time, especially if you are doing well, of course.”
Regarding the ongoing investigation involving Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner, Verstappen stated that the team’s focus is on their day-to-day tasks and making the car faster. He added, “Everyone who is here, they’re all focusing on the performance of the car, as they should. Everyone knows their role, and everyone is very focused on trying to make the whole package faster.”
