Haas, the lone American team in Formula One, has announced that it will unveil its 2024 F1 car on February 2 through a digital presentation. This comes as the team aims to address challenges and make improvements following a challenging 2023 F1 campaign.
Gene Haas, the team owner, made significant changes to the team’s leadership structure by replacing Guenther Steiner, who had been at the helm since the team’s inception in 2015, with former Engineering Director Ayao Komatsu.
Haas operates with a unique structure, with its operations spread across three locations – the UK, USA, and Italy. The team utilizes chassis from Dallara, sources parts such as the engine from Ferrari, and handles its own aerodynamics with a design team based in Maranello.
Ayao Komatsu, reflecting on the changes and challenges ahead, emphasized that he is not attempting to emulate Guenther Steiner’s character. He acknowledged the different strengths and weaknesses each brings to the role, emphasizing his commitment to being the best version of himself as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
The digital launch on February 2 will provide fans and the F1 community with a first look at Haas’ efforts to elevate its performance and competitiveness in the 2024 Formula One season.
