West Ham United has announced their first signing under new head coach Julen Lopetegui. Acquiring 18-year-old Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras on a five-year deal for a reported fee of £25 million.
West Ham’s technical director Tim Steidten finalized the deal during a recent trip to Brazil. Where Guilherme expressed his excitement about joining the club amidst interest from several Premier League teams.

Guilherme also spoke about his discussions with Lopetegui, highlighting the coach’s experience at both national and club levels in Spain. “The Premier League is the best league in the world,” he added. “I believe I will develop significantly here with the support of West Ham’s staff, which is crucial for my growth.”
Reflecting on his childhood dream of playing in England, Guilherme expressed gratitude for the opportunity: “Since I was eleven, this has been my dream, and now it’s becoming a reality. I’m thrilled and thankful to West Ham. Let’s go for it!”
