Manchester United are set to make a move for Sweden striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting this January, with the 26-year-old priced at £80m. The Red Devils are hoping the addition of the prolific forward will help rescue their struggling season.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid is pushing forward with plans to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer. The Spanish giants are eager for the England defender to agree to a pre-contract deal, aiming to secure his signature without competition. Liverpool, however, is determined to keep Alexander-Arnold until the end of the season and will face another challenge from Real Madrid in January.
Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, is intensifying efforts to bring Liverpool’s Colombian winger Luis Diaz to the Catalan club. Diaz, 27, has reportedly expressed frustration over the lack of contract talks with Liverpool and could be open to a move.
Arsenal are currently leading the race for Eintracht Frankfurt’s 25-year-old Egyptian forward, Omar Marmoush, despite interest from Liverpool, Paris St-Germain, and AC Milan.
Although Arsenal have explored the possibility of signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, they are reluctant to pay more than £25m for the 27-year-old England international. Rashford, however, has firmly denied any discussions with agents regarding a transfer this January.
In other Premier League news, Fulham are concerned that French side Marseille will reinitiate interest in Brazil midfielder Andreas Pereira, 29. Brentford, West Ham, and Fulham are all keeping an eye on Will Hughes’ contract situation at Crystal Palace, with the 29-year-old English midfielder potentially available this month.

In a major move, Bayern Munich and Paris St-Germain are preparing to compete with six Premier League clubs to sign Spanish forward Dani Olmo, 26, on a free transfer, while Barcelona hopes to secure the player for the second half of the season.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is reportedly open to offers for Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, Danish international Christian Eriksen, and Swedish defender Victor Lindelof, all aged 30 and 32, respectively.
Nottingham Forest are also listening to offers for Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi, 27, but only if they can secure a suitable replacement. Crystal Palace may look to cash in on 25-year-old left-back Tyrick Mitchell, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
Athletic Bilbao are reportedly monitoring Norwich City’s Basque-born winger, Borja Sainz, 23, in case fellow Spanish star Nico Williams, 22, leaves the club.
Lastly, Galatasaray is in talks with Paris St-Germain over the potential loan move of Slovakia defender Milan Skriniar, 29, with an option to buy.
In addition, Manchester United’s £900m sponsorship deal with Adidas could be at risk if the club faces relegation from the Premier League. Meanwhile, manager Ruben Amorim plans to allow young players Harry Amass, 17, and Dan Gore, 20, to leave the club on loan this January.
