Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal are poised to engage in a summer battle for Borussia Dortmund’s talented forward, Donyell Malen, as per reports.
Malen, the Dutch striker, garnered interest from Manchester United during the January transfer window, with talks of a potential swap deal involving Jadon Sancho. However, the 25-year-old remained in Germany and has since showcased his prowess alongside the England winger, notching seven goals since the start of the year and tallying a total of 13 for the season, including a strike against former club PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League round of 16.
Arsenal, another of Malen’s former clubs, have also emerged as contenders for his signature. Despite their proficiency in scoring this season, the Gunners seek additional firepower upfront, with central strikers Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah contributing just nine Premier League goals combined.

Reports from Germany suggest that Dortmund could entertain offers for Malen, with a speculated price tag of £51.3 million. However, Liverpool’s pursuit may face complications, including uncertainties surrounding their managerial situation for the upcoming season.
Sebastian Kehl, Dortmund’s chief, appears reluctant to part ways with Malen, who remains under contract until 2026 and boasts an impressive record of 32 goals in 105 appearances since joining the German outfit.
Amidst the transfer speculations, Malen continues to shine on the field, contributing four goals and one assist in his last four Bundesliga appearances. His recent performance included an assist in Dortmund’s victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, where he showcased his attacking prowess and set up a goal for his teammate Karim Adeyemi.
As Malen gears up for international duty with the Dutch squad, his future remains a subject of intense speculation, with Premier League giants vying for his services in what promises to be a captivating summer transfer saga.
