Football legend Paul Gascoigne has bravely revealed that he is currently facing homelessness and grappling with alcohol addiction, seeking solace in the support of his manager Katie Davies.
Gascoigne, known for his illustrious career with England and his battles with addiction and mental health issues, disclosed his challenging circumstances in a candid interview on the High Performance Podcast.
Reflecting on his tumultuous journey, Gascoigne shared, “Last year wasn’t brilliant, was off and on for a couple of months.” He acknowledged attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings as part of his ongoing efforts to confront his addiction, recognizing them as a beneficial outlet for support.
