Mohamed Salah has provided the strongest indication yet that he intends to remain a Liverpool player for the upcoming season, expressing his determination to secure silverware for the club.
Amid speculation surrounding his future as he enters the final year of his contract, Salah has emerged as a target for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, who reportedly made a £150 million bid for the Egyptian winger. However, Liverpool opted to reject the offer, signaling their desire to retain Salah’s services.
While theories circulated about a potential agreement for Salah to depart after the upcoming season, the 31-year-old seems focused on contributing to Liverpool’s success in the short term. Despite facing injury setbacks, Salah managed to tally an impressive 25 goals and 14 assists in the last campaign under Jurgen Klopp.
Expressing his commitment to Liverpool’s ambitions, Salah stated, “We know that trophies are what count and we will do everything possible to make that happen next season. Our fans deserve it and we will fight like hell.”

Salah’s comments come in the wake of Liverpool’s appointment of Arne Slot as their new coach, succeeding Klopp. Salah also paid tribute to Klopp, acknowledging their shared success over the past seven years.
Meanwhile, Slot expressed his excitement about the opportunity to lead Liverpool, emphasizing the challenge and privilege of coaching one of the world’s biggest clubs in the Premier League.
As Liverpool prepares for the upcoming season under new leadership, Salah’s determination to contribute to the club’s trophy pursuit serves as a positive sign for fans and the coaching staff alike.
