Authorities in Brazil have wrongly identified , wife of Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, in connection with a manslaughter arrest.
Social media reports mistakenly linked Natalia, a qualified doctor, to the ongoing investigation surrounding the death of a man following a chemical peel procedure.
The woman arrested is Natalia Fabiana de Freitas Antonio, who also uses the online alias “Natalia Becker” and owns the Sao Paulo clinic where the incident occurred.
Taking to Instagram, Alisson’s wife Natalia clarified the situation for her followers. “I am not the ‘Natalia Becker’ named in the news about the beauty clinic,” she wrote. “It’s another person who has the same name and last surname. No relation whatsoever.”
Name confusion has unwittingly entangled Natalia Becker, married to Alisson since 2015, in the case. The arrested Natalia, unlike Alisson’s wife, is not a medical professional.

The 27 year old male victim reportedly underwent the phenol peel treatment for acne and suffered complications afterward. Investigators suspect a possible allergic reaction and anaphylactic shock.
Natalia Fabiana de Freitas Antonio, now under formal investigation for manslaughter, expressed her condolences to the victim’s family and denied any malicious intent.
