Despite being relatively new to Test cricket with just seven matches under his belt, 22-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal has already made a significant impact in the longest format of the game, showcasing his talent with two double centuries in his young career.
In a remarkable display of skill, Yashasvi Jaiswal recorded his highest Test score of an unbeaten 214, laying the groundwork for India’s dominant victory over England in the third Test held in Rajkot.
Joining him in the limelight was another Mumbai cricketer, , who made his much-awaited Test debut and delivered quickfire half-centuries in both innings of the match.

Impressed by the stellar performances of the Mumbai duo that tilted the game in India’s favor, fellow Mumbai player Suryakumar Yadav took to Instagram to extend his congratulations, remarking, “From the maidaans of Mumbai to batting together for India. What a story!”
During the second innings, Jaiswal and Sarfaraz displayed their prowess by aggressively taking on the England bowlers, forging an unbeaten partnership of 172 runs off just 158 balls for the sixth wicket.
While Jaiswal’s innings featured 14 fours and 12 sixes, Sarfaraz, who achieved his second consecutive fifty in his debut Test, demonstrated his talent with six boundaries and three maximums in his brisk, unbeaten knock of 68 runs off 72 balls.
