Sai Kishore’s consistency in the domestic circuit has been commendable over the years, despite not receiving consistent opportunities in the IPL. However, his talent has never been in doubt, and he finally got his chance against PBKS as the third spinner, delivering a stellar performance with a brilliant four-wicket haul.

Among his notable scalps was that of Jitesh Sharma, but none was more significant than the dismissal of Shashank Singh, who had been a hero for Punjab in their previous encounter with GT. Sai Kishore claimed Singh’s wicket in the 16th over with a beautifully looped delivery on the off stump line. Singh attempted to work it towards the leg side but ended up getting a leading edge. Sai Kishore exhibited excellent reflexes to snatch a diving low catch off his own bowling.
Although Harpreet Brar managed to score some quick runs towards the end of Punjab’s innings, propelling the home side past 140, the total still appears below-par. Punjab now faces the challenge of putting up an exceptional bowling performance to stay competitive in the match.
