Zahoor, who had been struggling for form in recent matches, delivered his career-defining hat-trick in the second ball of the ninth over. With the Jaguars already in trouble, Zahoor dismissed Angelo Mathews, who attempted to slice the ball but got caught by a fielder. In the very next delivery, Zahoor clean-bowled Sadeera Samarawickrama, who tried an ambitious step-out swing. The final wicket came when Zahoor delivered a powerful inswinger to Matheesha Pathirana, batting at number 10, knocking down his middle stump and sealing his remarkable feat.

The hat-trick added to the Jaguars’ woes, as their already shaky innings crumbled further. With just 83 runs to chase in 10 overs, the Galle Marvels had a manageable target to win the match.

Zahoor Khan has consistently performed well across formats throughout his career. He has played 62 ODIs, claiming 93 wickets at an economy rate of 5.01. In the Abu Dhabi T10 League, he has taken 15 wickets in 29 matches. Additionally, Zahoor has featured in 57 T20Is, capturing 72 wickets with an economy rate of 6.81. This hat-trick adds a special milestone to his distinguished cricketing journey.
