Sanju Samson Reveals Team India’s Special T20 World Cup Champions Jersey

Team India, led by captain Rohit Sharma, received a grand reception upon their return from the Men’s T20 World Cup, arriving on a charter flight. They will meet Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi before heading to Mumbai. A celebratory parade from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium will commemorate their hard-earned victory and honor past achievements, including the memorable 2007 win.
Samson shared a glimpse of the new jersey on Instagram, featuring a significant addition: a second star above the BCCI logo, symbolizing India’s two T20 World Cup triumphs. The jersey boldly displays “champions,” reflecting their proud success in the tournament.
This jersey update also pays tribute to India’s inaugural T20 World Cup victory in 2007 under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, bridging past glories with the present team’s determination and success, as reported by IANS.
Following their New Delhi engagements, Team India will fly to Mumbai for further celebrations, including a ceremony at Wankhede Stadium after a victory parade from Nariman Point, organized by the BCCI.
