Affordable Ticket Prices and Free Entry for Under-18s

To attract large crowds, the ICC has introduced ticket prices starting as low as 5 Dirhams (about Rs 115). Consequently, this pricing strategy aims to make high-quality women’s cricket accessible to a broad audience. Additionally, the ICC is offering free entry to all those under 18, demonstrating a commitment to engaging and nurturing young cricket enthusiasts.
Tournament Details
The tournament will feature 23 matches over 18 days, with 20 league games played across Dubai and Sharjah. The semi-finals are set for October 17 and 18, and Dubai will host the final.
ICC Chief Executive’s Enthusiasm
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice expressed his excitement about the tournament, highlighting the UAE’s diverse and international community. “The UAE’s diversity is one of the exciting aspects of this event. It feels like a home World Cup for all 10 teams, and players will benefit from the support of passionate fans,” he remarked. Allardice also praised the collaboration with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) and the Dubai Sports Council to ensure the event’s success.
Celebratory Launch
To mark the occasion, organizers projected a spectacular laser show onto the Burj Khalifa, enhancing the tournament’s grandeur. ECB Board Member Zaid Abbas also shared his enthusiasm for the event, anticipating a successful partnership with the ICC and the Bangladesh Cricket Board, the original host of the event.
