He dismissed Hasaranga on the fourth ball of the 15th over, followed by Agha and Rathnayake on successive deliveries, registering a hat-trick on his LPL debut for Colombo Strikers.

The Pakistan all-rounder finished with figures of 4/22, helping his team bowl out Kandy Falcons for 147 in 15.5 overs.

Earlier, Colombo Strikers scored 198 for seven in their 20 overs, with Sadeera Samarawickrama smashing 48 off 26 balls and Thisara Perera scoring 38 off 30 deliveries.

Shadab Khan added a crucial 17-ball 20, while Chamika Karunaratne scored 25 off 10 deliveries to help Colombo Strikers set a target of 199 in 20 overs.

Following the game, Shadab Khan took to Instagram to share his batting and bowling figures, captioning the post with “God is great.”

His outstanding performance in the Lanka Premier League 2024 came shortly after a challenging time in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024, where he failed to pick up a single wicket. Notably, the leg-spinner did not bowl a single over against India in their contest in New York on June 9.
