Star Nepal cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane will finally join his team in the West Indies for the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 after facing multiple visa rejections for the US. Initially excluded from Nepal’s World Cup squad due to visa issues, Lamichhane expressed his gratitude to various Nepalese authorities for their efforts despite the unsuccessful attempts to secure his US visa.

Nepal has had a mixed start in the T20 World Cup, suffering a defeat against the Netherlands in their opening game. Currently positioned fourth in their group, they face Sri Lanka next at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, on Tuesday, June 11. Sri Lanka, placed last in the group after two losses, will also seek their first victory of the tournament against Nepal, who are equally eager to secure their maiden win.
