Ahead of India’s first match in the T20 World Cup 2024, captain Rohit Sharma emphasized the pivotal role spinners will play in the tournament, particularly highlighting the versatility of Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel as crucial for team balance. Rohit Sharma expressed confidence in India’s ability to adapt to varying conditions, noting the slower nature of the Nassau County Cricket Stadium pitch where they will face Ireland on June 5.
