In a display of sharp reflexes and quick thinking in Match 32 of IPL 2024, Rishabh Pant, the captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC), showcased his prowess behind the stumps against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
During the ninth over of GT’s innings, with Abhinav Manohar struggling on 8 runs off 14 balls, Pant turned the tide for DC. Manohar attempted to play a cautious shot off a length delivery but ended up nicking it with the outside edge.
Pant, with his trademark swiftness, whipped the bails off in a flash, showcasing his exceptional agility behind the wicket. His confidence in the dismissal was evident as he celebrated even before the umpire’s confirmation.
A quick review on the big screen confirmed Pant’s lightning reflexes were spot on. Manohar had his foot outside the crease when the bails were dislodged, resulting in his dismissal.
