In a dominant performance, India A defeated Australia A by 171 runs in the final one-day match on Sunday, thanks to a remarkable bowling effort by rookie Priya Mishra and solid batting contributions from Tejal Hasabnis and Raghvi Bist.
India A posted a competitive total of 243 for nine, with Tejal scoring 50 off 66 balls and Raghvi adding 53 from 64 balls. Despite a shaky start where India A was 43 for three, the 104-run partnership between Tejal and Raghvi stabilized the innings. They helped push the total past 200, supported by Sajeevan Sajana’s 40 and captain Minnu Mani’s 34.

Priya Mishra, a 20-year-old leg-spinner from Delhi, was the standout performer with the ball, taking five wickets for just 14 runs. Consequently, she dismantled the Australian batting lineup, which was bowled out for a mere 72 runs. Notably, Priya’s spell included the crucial dismissals of Maddy Darke and Tess Flintoff, leaving Australia A struggling at 52 for four. Moreover, she continued her impressive performance by removing Nicole Faltum, Kate Peterson, and Nicola Hancock.
This victory provided a much-needed consolation for India A following a series of five consecutive losses in the six-match white-ball series. Furthermore, the teams will next face off in a one-off unofficial Test in Gold Coast, starting August 22.
