Set to begin on February 19, the Champions Trophy 2025 will take place in Pakistan and the UAE. Host nation Pakistan is finalizing renovation work at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium ahead of the tournament. Before the action kicks off, Pakistan’s squad gathered at the stadium to launch their official kit.
PCB Unveils Pakistan’s Jersey on Social Media
After the players revealed the jersey in Lahore, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a special video online. The clip captured fans’ deep passion for cricket and their unwavering support for the national team. Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman were among the stars featured in the video, donning the team’s bright green kit, a shift from the darker shades used previously.
The Champions Trophy will feature eight teams competing across 15 matches at venues in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, as well as Dubai. Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B consists of Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia. Due to security concerns, India will play its scheduled matches in Dubai under a hybrid model approved by the ICC and PCB.
PCB Hosts Special Dinner for Stadium Renovation Workers
In a touching gesture, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi honored over 1,500 workers involved in Gaddafi Stadium’s renovation by hosting a special dinner. The stadium now boasts increased seating, modern hospitality boxes, improved floodlights, advanced scoreboards, and LED towers, ensuring a world-class experience for fans and players.
