Pakistan is set to host an ICC event once again as the Champions Trophy returns. Ahead of the tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has prioritized infrastructure improvements, ensuring top-notch facilities for players and fans.

On February 11, before Pakistan faces South Africa in the ongoing tri-series, the National Bank Stadium in Karachi will unveil its brand-new pavilion at the University Road End. This marks a major milestone in Pakistan’s preparations for the marquee event.
PCB Unveils a Modern Pavilion
With the Champions Trophy approaching, the PCB has focused on upgrading cricket venues nationwide. The National Bank Stadium has undergone a remarkable transformation, completed in just four months. Over 5,000 workers contributed to this massive revamp, ensuring the stadium meets international standards.
The new pavilion features world-class dressing rooms, enhanced hospitality suites, and an expanded seating capacity with 5,000 additional seats. The ground now boasts 350 LED lights to improve visibility, along with two digital screens to enhance the viewing experience for fans.
Mohsin Naqvi’s Perspective
Karachi has produced some of Pakistan’s finest cricketing talents and hosted unforgettable matches. To honor the hardworking laborers behind the stadium’s transformation, PCB will invite them to the unveiling ceremony.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his excitement, stating, “This upgrade is a testament to our vision of elevating Pakistan’s cricketing venues to international standards. The National Bank Stadium, which last saw a major renovation in 1996, now stands as a world-class facility ready for top-tier cricket.”
The Champions Trophy starts on February 19, bringing thrilling cricket action to Pakistani fans on home soil.
