Usman Khan, the dynamic batsman of Multan Sultans, has left cricket fans in awe with his outstanding performance in PSL 2024. Making history, the 28-year-old has become the first player in PSL history to achieve two centuries in a single edition. In a recent match against Islamabad United, Usman’s spectacular century propelled Multan Sultans to a commanding total of 228 runs, showcasing his remarkable talent with 15 boundaries and three towering sixes.
Despite Usman’s remarkable achievements, his relocation to the UAE renders him ineligible for selection in the Pakistan team. As a result, his hopes of representing the national team have been shattered. This setback has left Usman disappointed and frustrated. The PCB selectors have confirmed his exclusion from the upcoming series against New Zealand. As the PCB prepares to announce a 25-player squad for the national team camp starting on March 25 at Abbottabad’s Kakul Academy, Usman’s absence from the squad marks a significant setback for his international aspirations.
