PBKS' Mullanpur Stadium to Host Women's World Cup 2025 Final

Punjab Kings’ home ground, the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, has been confirmed as the venue for the Women’s World Cup 2025 final. The tournament, scheduled between September 29 and October 26, will be played across five Indian cities: Chandigarh, Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Indore, and Raipur.

PBKS' Mullanpur Stadium to Host Women's World Cup 2025 FinalInterestingly, Mullanpur, Thiruvananthapuram, and Raipur have yet to host a Women’s international match. However, the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam is a familiar venue, having hosted six Women’s T20Is and five ODIs. Indore’s Nehru Stadium has only hosted two Women’s ODIs, one of which dates back to the 1997 World Cup. According to ESPN Cricinfo, Holkar Stadium in Indore may be preferred for hosting World Cup matches.

Six teams have already secured their spots for the Women’s World Cup 2025. Hosts India will be joined by Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. The remaining two teams will be determined through the upcoming qualifiers. Pakistan Women’s team is among the sides participating in the qualifiers.

If Pakistan qualifies, the tournament may follow a hybrid model, with some matches hosted outside India. Although the backup host country is not confirmed yet, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates are reportedly the top contenders to step in if necessary.

Mullanpur’s selection as the final venue highlights the growing prominence of the stadium, which is also Punjab Kings’ home ground for IPL 2025. With the Women’s World Cup returning to India, fans can look forward to witnessing top-notch cricket across diverse venues.
