Pakistan Shaheens, led by wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris, announced their squad for the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup. The tournament begins in Oman on October 18. Haris has played nine T20Is and six ODIs for Pakistan. He will aim to guide the team to defend their title. The competition features a mix of emerging talent and experienced players.

The 15-member squad features a balanced mix of seasoned campaigners and fresh faces. Speedsters Shahnawaz Dahani and Zaman Khan are key inclusions, alongside hard-hitting batter Haider Ali. Debutants Ahmed Daniyal, Abdul Samad, and Zaman Khan will make their first appearances for the Shaheens. Zaman has impressed with strong performances in domestic cricket. All three will look to make their mark in international cricket.
A five-day training camp from October 11 to 15 will help Pakistan A fine-tune their preparations before heading to Oman on October 16. The Shaheens are grouped with India A, Oman, and UAE in Group B. They will look to book a semi-final spot as they aim to repeat their triumph from 2023, when Tayyab Tahir’s brilliant century helped them defeat India A in the final.
Pakistan’s first match will be against India on October 19, with the final set for October 27. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
