Mitchell Santner will captain New Zealand’s cricket team for their upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka in November. On October 22, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) announced the 15-player squad for the ODI and T20I series. The tour will feature two T20Is and three ODIs, taking place between November 9 and 19 in Dambulla and Pallekele.

Two players are in line for international debuts: Wellington Firebirds all-rounder Nathan Smith and Canterbury wicketkeeper-batter Mitch Hay, who have earned their maiden call-ups for the tour. Both are likely to play during New Zealand’s 10-day visit to Sri Lanka.
Santner will lead a squad that includes key players like Lockie Ferguson, Ish Sodhi, Michael Bracewell, and Glenn Phillips. Santner will lead the side in both formats, aiming for a strong showing after New Zealand’s Test series loss in Sri Lanka in September.
