South African cricket stars Laura Wolvaardt and Marco Jansen took home top honors at the 2023-24 CSA Annual Awards. Wolvaardt, the captain of the South African women’s team, dominated the awards by securing five major titles. She earned the titles of Women’s ODI and T20I Player of the Year, and also won Women’s Players’ Player of the Year and Fans’ Player of the Year.

In the men’s category, fast bowler Marco Jansen was crowned Men’s Player of the Year for his outstanding performances across formats. Jansen’s key contributions, including his role in South Africa’s Boxing Day Test victory against India and 17 wickets at the 2023 ODI World Cup, made him a standout.
Other notable winners include David Bedingham, who claimed Men’s Test Player of the Year and Men’s Newcomer of the Year for his impressive performances in his debut series against India and New Zealand. Quinton de Kock won Men’s ODI Player of the Year for his prolific run at the 2023 World Cup. Reeza Hendricks claimed the Men’s T20I Player of the Year title, while senior spinner Keshav Maharaj earned the Men’s Players’ Player of the Year award.
These awards honored South African cricket players for their performances between May 1, 2023, and August 30, 2024. As the season continues, the South African men’s team is preparing for a white-ball series against Afghanistan in Sharjah, while the women’s team gears up for a T20I series against Pakistan and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the UAE.
