On the second day of the clash between Australia A and India A on the Gold Coast, bowlers dominated as Australia A extended their lead. Australia A, after setting a target of 212, were 164 for 7, led by an unbeaten 54 from Maddy Darke and a solid 58 from Emma de Broughe, with Minnu Mani taking 5 for 47.

Australia A started their second innings with a 28-run lead but quickly lost two wickets without adding any runs. Mani struck twice in consecutive overs to dismiss Georgia Voll and Charli Knott, and continued her impressive form by removing Nicole Faltum and Tess Flintoff.
Darke’s resilient 54 not out, including a 54-run partnership with Maitlan Brown, extended Australia’s lead to 192 before she was finally out, caught off Mani’s bowling. Despite the challenging conditions, de Broughe scored a half-century before leg-spinner Priya Mishra controversially dismissed her.
India A began their innings at 100 for 2 but struggled as Kate Peterson took charge, claiming five wickets. She dismissed Tejal Hasabnis and Shweta Sehrawat with late movement and an away swinger, and had a hat-trick opportunity when Sajana Sajeevan edged a full toss. Peterson eventually took out Uma Chetry and Raghvi Bist, contributing to India A’s collapse to 5 for 27, although lower-order contributions kept them in the game.
