DS vs JK: Team Previews
Dambulla Sixers:
The Dambulla Sixers started their campaign with a loss to the Kandy Falcons. The Sixers’ top order faced difficulties, leaning on Mark Chapman and Chamidnu Wickramasinghe for their total of 179 runs. Despite a strong start with the ball, they couldn’t contain Dinesh Chandimal, who led the Falcons to a six-wicket victory. Led by Mohammad Nabi, the Sixers aim to address batting order issues, ensuring a solid middle-order foundation. They seek a swift bounce-back from their recent defeat in the LPL 2024.
Jaffna Kings:
The Jaffna Kings are eager to secure early wins in the tournament. Led by Charith Asalanka, they will rely on key batsmen like Rilee Rossouw, Pathum Nissanka, Alex Ross, and Kusal Mendis for a strong start. In the bowling department, the team will look to Omarzai, Behrendorff, and Viyaskanth to make impactful contributions. The Kings aim for a cohesive performance across all departments to kickstart their campaign on a positive note.
