The crucial moment unfolded during the 15th over of Bangladesh’s innings, with the team positioned well due to a strong partnership between Hridoy and Litton Das.

In the final over of his spell, Hasaranga bowled a turning googly that caught Litton in front of the stumps, prompting a confident appeal from the Sri Lankan players. The umpire wasted no time in raising his finger, signaling Litton’s dismissal.

Despite being clearly out, Litton Das opted to review the decision using the DRS. However, the replay confirmed the on-field umpire’s call with all three reds, confirming Litton’s dismissal and costing Bangladesh their review.

Currently, Bangladesh is chasing a target of 125 runs, but they are facing a challenging situation having lost six wickets. At the time of writing, they were 111 for six in 17.1 overs, with Mahmudullah and Rishad Hossain trying to stabilize the innings.
