Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah has been sidelined from cricket since the T20 World Cup 2024 Final. The Indian management has opted to manage his workload carefully, aiming to conserve him for more significant matches. As a result, Bumrah might miss the upcoming series against Bangladesh. However, recent reports suggest that he could return for the New Zealand series scheduled for October-November this year.

Bumrah played a pivotal role in India’s T20 World Cup victory, with his crucial spell in the final helping secure the title and ending the nation’s trophy drought. Despite his impressive performance, the Indian management decided to hold him back to preserve his fitness for key future events.
Initial expectations were that Bumrah would return for India’s home Test series against Bangladesh. But now, it seems more likely that he will rejoin the team for the New Zealand series. New Zealand’s tour will feature a three-match Test series, which is crucial for the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) cycle and also serves as preparation for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting November 22, 2024.
Indian cricket fans eagerly await Bumrah’s return, hoping he will be fully fit. They anticipate he will deliver the exceptional performances he is known for. His return is expected to help the team reach new heights.
