As a result, Pakistan will proceed with their Test series in South Africa without Nielsen.
Meanwhile, Gillespie’s future with the team is also uncertain. The PCB has reduced the Australian coach’s responsibilities, limiting his role to a match-day strategist. The PCB also removed him from the selection panel, increasing the tension in the camp. Gillespie has expressed his frustration over not being informed or consulted about Nielsen’s sacking.
