Shreyas Iyer, captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), emphasized the team’s resilience despite losing the majority of tosses in the IPL, asserting that winning matches is the ultimate priority. Following Sunday’s victory, which propelled KKR to the top of the points table, Iyer highlighted the team’s ability to perform regardless of the toss outcome.
Despite losing his eighth toss in 11 games, Iyer’s team delivered a commanding performance against the Lucknow Super Giants. Posting a formidable total of 235 for six after being put in to bat. Subsequently, KKR restricted the hosts to 137 runs, securing another crucial win on their path to the playoffs.
Reflecting on the team’s recent form, Iyer commented, “In the last 6 matches in the dressing room. There has been havoc… we are losing tosses, but we are winning games, and that’s what matters.” He emphasized the positive mindset within the squad and credited their success to the freedom to express themselves on field.

Regarding the team’s strategy, Iyer highlighted the effectiveness of the left-right batting combination and emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive approach in every situation. Despite occasional setbacks, he emphasized the significance of staying proactive and striving for success.
