Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) Nicholas Pooran remains the top run-scorer in IPL 2025 with 189 runs. He averages 63.00 and has a strike rate of 219.76. Pooran made 44 runs against Punjab Kings (PBKS) after scoring 75 off 30 balls against Delhi Capitals (DC) and 70 off 26 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Sai Sudharsan from Gujarat Titans (GT) has moved to second place in the Orange Cap race. He scored 49 off 36 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) after earlier innings of 74 and 63. His total of 186 runs is just three behind Pooran.
Another GT batter, Jos Buttler, holds third place. Playing at No. 3 this season, Buttler scored an unbeaten 73 off 39 balls in a successful chase on Wednesday. He now has 166 runs with a strike rate of 172.91.
Noor Ahmad leads the Purple Cap standings in IPL 2025. Playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the left-arm wrist-spinner has taken nine wickets so far. He recorded figures of 4 for 18, 3 for 36, and 2 for 28 in his three games. His nine wickets are five more than teammates R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja combined.
Mitchell Starc follows closely with eight wickets in two games for DC. He was expensive in his first match against LSG, taking 3 for 42, but in his next game against SRH, he registered his career-best T20 figures of 5 for 35.
A four-way tie exists for third place in the Purple Cap race. R Sai Kishore (GT), Josh Hazlewood (RCB), Shardul Thakur (LSG), and Khaleel Ahmed (CSK) all have six wickets each.
