In a move to solidify their backline, Inter Miami CF has secured the loan signing of defender Marcelo Weigandt from Argentinian powerhouse Club Atlético Boca Juniors for the remainder of the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) season. The deal also includes an option to extend the loan into the 2025 season.

The 24-year-old Weigandt arrives at Inter Miami after rising through the youth ranks at Boca Juniors. He made his senior team debut in 2019 and has since accumulated valuable experience across various competitions. Weigandt boasts an impressive 72 appearances for Boca Juniors, including 15 in the prestigious CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores.
