During Match 19 of IPL 2024 between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), CSK all-rounder Shivam Dube showcased his explosive batting prowess with a blistering innings of 45 runs off 24 balls, including two fours and four sixes. Coming in to bat after CSK struggled in the powerplay, Dube took on SRH’s T. Natarajan in the 12th over, smashing consecutive sixes with disdainful ease.

Dube’s crucial contribution, along with Ajinkya Rahane’s 35 off 30 balls and Ravindra Jadeja’s unbeaten 31 off 23 balls, propelled CSK to a total of 165/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Despite tight bowling performances from SRH’s Jaydev Unadkat, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Pat Cummins, CSK managed a competitive score.
In reply, SRH chased down the target comfortably in 18.1 overs, led by explosive starts from openers Abhishek Sharma (37 off 12) and Travis Head (31 off 24), as well as a solid half-century from Aiden Markram (50 off 36). With this victory, the Pat Cummins-led SRH secured their second win in four matches, climbing to the fifth spot on the points table, while CSK maintained their third position with an equal number of wins and matches played.
