Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar will serve as ambassadors for the third edition of the International League T20 (ILT20) in 2025. The highly anticipated tournament will begin on January 11 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, featuring a clash between defending champions MI Emirates and last year’s runners-up Dubai Capitals.
The former Indian spinner and Pakistan’s legendary fast bowler will also take on commentary duties during the four-week event in the UAE. Their return will boost the league’s appeal, as both players bring immense experience and engage fans effectively.
ILT20 CEO David White expressed his excitement about having Harbhajan and Akhtar on board again. He emphasized that their involvement will significantly enhance the league’s profile, offering valuable insights to fans and players alike.

The ILT20 2025 season will feature 30 matches in its opening round, with six teams competing in a double round-robin format. Following the league stage, the top teams will advance to the playoffs, culminating in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on February 9.
Alongside Dubai, matches will be held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. With a star-studded lineup of players and renowned ambassadors like Harbhajan and Akhtar, the upcoming season promises to deliver high-octane cricket action in the UAE.
