Rishabh Pant, the skipper of the Delhi Capitals (DC), displayed his exceptional batting prowess in their ongoing IPL 2024 match against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Stepping onto the field at number five, Pant played a remarkable innings to stabilize the DC innings, which had initially wobbled at 44 for three due to some exceptional bowling from Sandeep Warrier.
One of the most impressive highlights of his knock was the helicopter shot he unleashed off Mohit Sharma. This defining moment arrived in the 16th over of the DC innings, as Pant and Axar Patel were busy building a crucial partnership.
As the match entered the crucial slog overs, Pant decided to shift gears, particularly targeting the in-form Mohit Sharma. The first delivery from Mohit was a full-length ball, which Pant dispatched with a magnificent helicopter shot. The ball sailed majestically over the deep mid-wicket boundary for a towering six.
Pant continued his aggressive batting and reached his well-deserved fifty with another massive six off Mohit in the 18th over. His exceptional batting display has significantly boosted the Delhi Capitals’ position in the match.
