Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fans can rejoice as the team will play all of its home matches for IPL 2025 at the iconic Eden Gardens. In an exciting update, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has confirmed that Eden Gardens will host KKR’s home games for the upcoming season. This announcement comes after speculation that the ground might only host a few matches before shifting KKR’s home games to Narsingarh in Tripura due to upcoming renovations for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Reports from RevSportz have clarified that Eden Gardens will undergo renovations after IPL 2025. CAB has communicated to KKR management that the stadium will remain available for the team’s entire home campaign, making it a major boost for KKR fans. Additionally, Eden Gardens has reportedly bid to host the final of the 2026 T20 World Cup, further adding to its prestige.
Eden Gardens, one of the most iconic cricket stadiums in the world, is set to see its seating capacity increase from around 70,000 to 90,000. The renovations will also include the construction of two new dressing rooms. Eden Gardens has undergone renovations before, notably ahead of the 2011 World Cup and again before the 2023 World Cup, where it hosted a semi-final.
For now, fans can look forward to watching KKR play all their home games in the legendary stadium for IPL 2025, marking another memorable chapter in its rich cricketing history.
