Dreams Football Club (Dreams FC) secured their spot in the upcoming season of the Ghana Premier League with a dominant 8-1 victory over Real Tamale United (RTU) on Wednesday afternoon.
Heading into the match facing relegation concerns, Dreams FC rallied behind head coach Abdul Karim Zito’s motivational leadership, urging the team to fight for survival.
The game, held at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu, started unfavorably for Dreams Football Club as RTU took an early lead with Lord Adabo scoring in the fourth minute of the first half.
However, Dreams Football Club swiftly recovered from the setback, showcasing a remarkable turnaround to overwhelm the visitors. Forward Agyenim Boateng Mensah stole the show with a five-goal masterclass, leading Dreams FC’s resurgence. Benjamin Bature contributed two goals, and Ismael Dede added another to secure a commanding victory.
With this crucial win, Dreams FC climbed to 11th place in the Ghana Premier League standings with a total of 45 points.
Irrespective of the result in their final league match of the season, Football Clu has solidified their place in the league, successfully avoiding relegation.
