Deepti Sharma delivered a stellar all-round performance as India secured a 3-0 ODI series sweep against West Indies in Vadodara. Deepti’s 6 for 31 dismantled West Indies, who were bowled out for 162. She then anchored India’s chase with an unbeaten 39, guiding them to a five-wicket victory.

India faced a shaky start to their chase, losing Smriti Mandhana and Harleen Deol early. Pratika Rawal also fell cheaply, leaving the hosts in trouble. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur provided a brief counterattack with a series of elegant cover drives, but her dismissal for 32 handed the momentum back to the visitors. Jemimah Rodrigues (29) steadied the innings before Deepti and Richa Ghosh (23*) ensured the chase was completed without further hiccups. Ghosh sealed the win with a flurry of boundaries, including back-to-back sixes off Afy Fletcher.
Earlier, West Indies struggled on a tricky pitch under overcast skies. Renuka Singh’s fiery opening spell reduced them to 9 for 3 within five overs, removing Qiana Joseph, Hayley Matthews, and Deandra Dottin. Chinelle Henry (61) and Shemaine Campbelle (46) added 91 runs for the fourth wicket to revive the innings. Campbelle played positively against spin, striking boundaries off Priya Mishra, while Henry mixed patience with power to reach her third ODI fifty.
However, Deepti’s introduction triggered another collapse. Campbelle and Henry were both dismissed as West Indies lost their last five wickets for 21 runs. Renuka returned to clean up the lower order, finishing with 4 for 29.
Despite early jitters, Deepti’s calm presence and Ghosh’s late fireworks ensured India achieved the target with 12 overs to spare, capping off a dominant series.
